The Texas Cancer Data Center does not collect or track personal information from visitors to the web site. Responses to the initial question regarding residence are used solely for the purpose of determining the percentage of users of the web site who are Texas residents.
Information that is automatically entered into the server log include the IP address of the computer accessing the information, the type of browser used, the referring page/site that brought you to the site, the date and time of the user session, and which pages are viewed. The Data Center uses this information in aggregate form to determine which pages are viewed most/least frequently, times of day and days of the week that receive the most/least traffic, errors encountered, number of visitors to the site, and overall activity on the site.
