4.0 Methodology for Finding Out About African-American Audiences

Conduct Key Informant Interviews

Identify community representatives who have social ties with the African-American community. Community leaders--such as religious leaders, political leaders, health care professionals, educators, organization leaders, and numerous others--provide a direct avenue to the audience. They can assist in communicating with members of the community. In addition, community leaders can help easily locate community members who can give detailed information about the health knowledge, attitudes, and practices of other members.
