Prostate Cancer
rostate cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed form of cancer in African-American men. African-American males have the highest incidence rate of prostate cancer in the United States and the world (21). From 1973 to 1991, mortality rates increased by 21.3% in White men and 39.2% in African-American men (22). The mortality rate during this period for African-American males was more than twice the rate for White males.
